MODY is a non‑immunological pancreatic dysfunction characterized by GAD‑negativity, onset before age 35, autosomal dominant inheritance (2‑3 generations), normal BMI, absence of metabolic syndrome, C‑peptide >1.8 ng/mL, good response to low‑dose sulfonylureas, and delayed or no insulin requirement.
